The United Arab Emirates strongly condemned Iran's ballistic missile and drone attacks on Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan on Wednesday, describing them as "terrorist and unprovoked".

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the strikes constituted a flagrant violation of the three countries' sovereignty and posed a serious threat to their security and stability. The ministry expressed full solidarity with all three nations.

What did the UAE say about Iran's attacks on Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan?

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the attacks were a direct violation of sovereign territory and reaffirmed its support for all measures taken to safeguard regional security.

The statement expressed solidarity with Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan and backed their right to defend themselves. The UAE condemned the strikes in the strongest possible terms.

The statement came as regional tensions escalated following Iranian claims of retaliatory strikes against US-linked military facilities in the Gulf.

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said it launched attacks targeting bases in Kuwait and Bahrain in response to recent US strikes on Iranian territory. The IRGC claimed that "eighteen important targets" linked to US forces were struck across two waves of operations.

What targets did Iran claim to have hit in the Gulf?

The IRGC identified facilities at Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait and Isa Air Base in Bahrain among the targets, claiming that Sheikh Isa Air Base was "hit and destroyed."

Iranian media reported that the US Fifth Fleet, based in Bahrain, was among the intended targets, with strikes described as hitting radar systems and communication infrastructure linked to Patriot air defense units. The US military rejected claims that any of its warships were struck.

Air raid sirens were activated across Bahrain as authorities urged residents to remain calm and move to safe locations. The Bahraini Interior Ministry confirmed the alerts in a post on X. Regional security agencies monitored developments closely as the reported strikes raised fears of further escalation across the Gulf.
