The United Arab Emirates is emerging from one of its heaviest rain spells in recent months, with conditions now stabilising across most areas.

Forecasters, however, say a new, weaker weather system is set to bring scattered showers early next week, though it is expected to be far less intense than the recent storms, Khaleej Times reported.

According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), most of the upcoming rainfall will be light to moderate, with occasional heavier showers limited to very localised areas. Southern inland regions, areas around Al Ain, and some internal parts of the country are expected to see the most activity.

Temperatures are likely to drop slightly, particularly in western parts of the UAE, and cooler conditions are expected to persist into midweek. Winds may strengthen at times, reaching speeds of 40-45 km/h, which could cause dust and reduced visibility. Sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf are forecast to be rough to very rough.

Authorities have confirmed there is no need for heightened concern given the weaker nature of the approaching system. After the rainfall, the UAE is expected to experience cooler weather, with a chance of fog or mist forming in coastal and internal areas during early morning hours.

The NCM has outlined the official forecast for the coming days: on March 31, skies will be partly to mostly cloudy with a chance of light to moderate rain over scattered areas. On April 1, similar conditions are expected, with temperatures dropping further in western regions. Residents are advised to stay updated on weather alerts while conditions remain generally safe.
